Elegant Vertical Sliding Sash Windows
Sash windows have remained one of Britain’s most iconic window styles for centuries. Their distinctive proportions, balanced sightlines and smooth vertical opening mechanism make them a popular choice for Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and heritage-inspired homes.
Our vertical sliding sash windows replicate the authentic appearance of traditional timber sash windows while incorporating modern engineering and advanced double glazing technology. The result is a window that looks beautifully traditional but performs to the highest modern standards.
Unlike older timber windows that can warp, rot, swell or require regular maintenance, our uPVC sash windows are designed to provide long-lasting performance with minimal upkeep. They glide smoothly, offer excellent thermal efficiency and help improve the security and comfort of your home.
Whether you’re replacing existing sash windows or introducing heritage styling to a renovation project, our expert team can help you create the perfect solution.
Many homeowners love the appearance of traditional sash windows but are concerned about the maintenance requirements of timber. Our sash windows faithfully recreate the classic aesthetics of period windows, including traditional sash horn details, slim sightlines, decorative glazing bars, authentic woodgrain finishes and classic proportions and styling.
This makes them an excellent choice for heritage properties, conservation-sensitive areas and character homes throughout Essex.
Authentic Heritage Appearance
Original sash windows are often responsible for heat loss, draughts and rising energy bills. Our modern sash windows feature advanced double glazing and multi-chambered profiles that help improve thermal performance throughout the year.
Benefits include reduced heat loss, improved indoor comfort, lower energy consumption, reduced external noise and better year-round temperature control. By upgrading older windows, homeowners can enjoy a warmer, more comfortable living environment while maintaining traditional aesthetics.
Outstanding Energy Efficiency
Security is an important consideration for any replacement window project. Our sash windows incorporate modern locking systems and robust construction methods to provide outstanding protection against unwanted entry.
Features can include multi-point locking mechanisms, reinforced frames, secure glazing systems, key-operated restrictors and optional enhanced security upgrades. These features provide reassurance while preserving the elegant appearance of traditional sash windows.
Advanced Security Features
One of the defining characteristics of sash windows is their unique opening mechanism. Our vertical sliding sash windows glide effortlessly, allowing you to ventilate your home without projecting outward. This makes them ideal for properties where external space is limited or where traditional aesthetics are important.
Many designs also feature inward tilting functionality, making cleaning safer and easier from inside the property.
